Ahmed Larouz is a founder of Bridgizz. An Amsterdam-based global communication and marketing company using both new and traditional media – to create successful brands and campaigns. This company is operating on an international level in Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
* As a founder of MEX-IT Advisors for Intercultural Management (2000-2008), he is active in the fields of diversity, integration, and immigration. Ahmed is also pro-active and developed innovative and creative initiatives concerning the integration of ethnic minorities in the European society.
* Ahmed is a Board Member of various organizations. Among these are The Cedar Network (Europe’s First Muslim Professional’s Network), Rabobank, TANS, (co-founder and chairman between 2000-2006) a network of highly educated immigrants, Morocco Fund (co-founder and vice-president). He is also a founding member of different ethnic entrepreneurs networks and advisor of the board of the Agency for International Business Cooperation in The Netherlands.
* Ahmed has also invented, initiated and organized Ramadan Festival. The first of its kind in the western world. The festival took place during the religious Islamic month of Ramadan and focused on making the daily lives and experiences of Western Muslims more transparent and accessible to non-Muslims. By using the openness and hospitality of the Muslim community an innovative approach was developed to accomplish the coming together of different groups in society.
* Ahmed is implementing this approach in different cities through the globe. In 2008 He launched it in London and Stavanger (Norway). In 2009 the festival will comprise over 500 activities in Belgium, France, Switzerland, USA, Austria, Morocco and Turkey.
* Mr. Larouz was also a winner of the Marketplace of Ideas competition at the United Nation’s Alliance of Civilizations in Turkey (april 2009).
